I agree we are lackluster on offense this year. The announcer mentioned we were not ranked for the first time since 2014?

If Bama had 2 losses, one to a top 2 team and one to an unranked opponent (who is now ranked), what would Bama be ranked, right now?

It isn’t the record. It is the eye test. If we were in any other Power 5 conference, we would be 1-5, 2-4 at best.

And if UGA goes undefeated with no team within one score except for us?

It’s more of a narrative against our conference, but look at the parity. We have some bad losses as a conference, so does every other conference. Pitt beat UT on the road, BC came to Clemson undefeated with a backup QB. Syracuse was last in our division, and showcased a RB that will be in the NFL for certain. Bama lost to A&M who was last in their division and barely escaped Colorado.

Our bar is high but the perception of us not being our best should not be conflated with us being not a top 25 team. I think our defense would keep us close with most of not all teams in the top 25.

It would take Bama 4 losses to drop out. I think they finish with 2 or 3 but never out of the top 10!

Say what you will but the AP rank/media perception due to our offense is not being fair. We dropped out on a bye week for Pete’s sake.
