With plantar fasciitis, that's difficult to predict...

A conservative treatment plan will include avoiding activities (like playing basketball) that causes the pain. If more-conservative measures aren't working after several months, surgical intervention could be necessary. Of course, the plantar fascia is a band of tissue that connects your heel bone to the base of your toes. When walking or running, particularly people with really tight calf muscles, the fascia compensates by stretching which causes the pain. The fascia simply isn't designed to stretch like that. So, while the pain is in the foot/heel area, the root of the problem is actually in the calf and hip.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

The only surgery for this is tenex surgery. Not many doctors do this, but Dr. John Womack at piedmont ortho did mine. They just pull the scar tissue out. No one does the cutting of the plantar fascia surgery. It can be crippling.
I imagine this is something Hemi has dealt with for a while.

I've had it. Probably a milder case than his. No day at the beach. I got cortisone shots in the bottom of my feet. If fixed it but they probably wouldn't do that now. Shot hurts like a bobo but kills the pain

Brad had hoped for Louisville. Then he thought he'd get minutes with Duke. Maybe he was bluffing. Don't know. But he was supposed to be back according to Brad.

In Saturday’s game I thought I saw a crutch leaning on a chair beside him on the bench. I’m not optimistic that he will return anytime soon, particularly given the average recovery time for this type of injury.

They should consider PRP.
