Downtown Charleston, the trainer called the position an SA (servers assistant). I thought that they were meaning Ese as in the Spanish term bc the other SA was Hispanic amd I assumed this was normally a Hispanic job...
How incredibly rassist of me right?

The food was disgusting, the roaches were everywhere, but the drinks flowed like wine into my 18 year-old belly. The first time I drink as a CofC student freshman year, and the last time I drank as a CofC student (right before graduation), was at LaHa.
Is that place still there?

condemned in 2007. The bathrooms were easily the grossest I've ever been in, and that includes bars.

(formerly Myskyns). I've never been in any "bathroom" more disgusting before, or since. It made the big John's bathrooms look like something from Charleston Place.
Depending on the tide, you could walk in and be slipping on a brown trout. luckily, this area was the lowest in the building (and probably the lowest on the peninsula, hence the tidal issues), so it wasn't always all over the rest of the floor.

Loved Myskins during my time at CofC. Saw the Original Wailers in concert there. Great show.
Anyone remember Cumberlands Bar? They had mystery beer for $1 if I remember. Give the guy a $1 and what ever he pulled from the tub of cold beer is what you got. Great wings at Cumberlands as well.

Some friends drug me downtown at about 9:00pm on a Tuesday and we walked in and Kevin Kinney Was playing guitar. I'm like either this guy snorted up all his DnC money, or he's really bored. There were 3 or 4 of us, and when we walked in doubled the number of people in the place.
