I'd suspect fall. The first sign of change is that starting QB's aren't being named in the spring and all the reps with the first teamers. Look at UGA. After loosing both running backs and a suspected 1st round WR in George Pickens, Smart has back up QBs taking most reps with the starters. I think this is to string along the back ups so they don't enter the transfer portal before the fall.
