Or I should ask what happened to make him favor NC State. All the 247 predictions flipped him from Clemson to NC State on 12/16.

NCSU is putting the full court press on him right now, and it sounds like Clemson is still in wait-and-see mode. Not sure if he is a take right now. Even if he is, NCSU has put in the work.

Going after Malone

So hard probly hurt us with him. We went all out for Malone and it has to make an 18 year old kid sit back and wonder about how bad we wanted him. I keep hearing all sorts of great things about him at the shrine bowl so I hope our coaches are I'm his ear every night. We will have one of his lasts officials so that def will help and I think Watson will be ok campus so that will help.

I think that the coaches saw Malone as a supreme talent and a take regardless of need. Thompson may be a take based on need. The need with Priester being cleared and Peake being red-shirted is lessened. If Bryant enters the NFL Draft that could all change.
