lost by minus one point. They will say that with all our talent, it should never have been that close. And on that one point, they would be right. We won't get credit for winning on an off day, on the road, against a former Natty winning coach. It just is what it are. 
We must get to 29-0 before we get to 30-0. I believe the winner of our game wins it all, regardless of whether the next opponent is LSU or Oklahoma. So, GO, TIGERS! Rake up the Tree Droppings, and turn them into mulch. That way, they will at least be useful additions to the planet.

many the Tigers can realistically win next year and how far the winning streak might get. Only 1 team since WW2 has won 40 straight and that was Oklahoma who holds the old time record at 47. The next best streaks are Toledo at 35 and Miami at 34.
If you go back to the late 1800s and early 1900s there are two Yale streaks of 37 and Washington at 40, but if Clemson were to to get to 40ish it would be at least the 2nd greatest streak in CFB history.
People would be talking about THAT.

I think you are right TigersandCubs. But, with an asterik*. They will point out the silly notion that winning is easy in our conference. In 2016 we got beat by an ACC school(Pitt). But, the two most winning programs over the last 10 years couldn't beat us that season!
Not a knock on Alabama or Ohio State or saying anything about the ACC being a powerful conference. But, I am saying, "it's hard to win"! A play or two that don't go your way; even if you are the better team and you can not win.
Play or watch football enough and you will see a team dominate statistically but lose the football game for example. If you have never seen it - it's crazy to see. If you have then you know sometimes you have to be good in "the little things" like taking care of the ball(turnovers) or time management at the end of the half, etc. In short, they know better than to act like we don't schedule tough competition. Two SEC teams for who knows how long. How many Big 10 schools have two OOC P5 opponents every year? Same question for SEC teams? PAC12? Big12?
What if S.Carolina was ranked #5 and A&M #4 - would that be enough? Probably not because then it would be - "they don't have to play them in back to back weeks"!
In short, they will find something. But, as long as the Clemson fans who have been there for the non-bowl seasons and struggles know who the standard is; "it will be all good"!

No, they will rave about our greatness and our dynasty for about a month.
Hy the time the next season rolls around, they will have somehow forgotten all of the ass-whuppin' and they will have had all summer to find stuff to gripe about.
Just get ready to ignore it all now. They play the game on the field.

Didn’t Finebaum already say if Clemson was to win it all it would be because we were well rested! He started that narrative in October already!
