What Would Dabo Do?

What would Dabo do if the student section started a “We want Taishun” chant if/when DJU struggles on Saturday? Obviously he’s the HC so he doesn’t have to bend to the will of the fans, but I’d be curious to see his response.
Personally, I don’t think a chant of that nature would breakout, but we’re already living in strange times…

Our best chance to win games this year is gonna be for DJ to get on track. The DJ that played against Notre Dame last year. If he ever wakes up then you're going to see us dominate. That DJ hasn't played this year yet for some reason. I will say that maybe sitting on the sideline and watching another QB play could wake him up but it could also tank any confidence he has left in himself. I think Dabo wants him to get more reps so that part just clicks naturally. DJ like every QB wants to have his time in the pocket to let plays development and go through his progressions. That isn't possible this year. So he's having to learn a new sped up version of the position and hasn't gotten comfortable yet. Which hopefully our OC will realize this and help get him plays that are easy and available to get him going early so he can settle in for later situations in the game. WE shall see.

My guess is that he would ignore it publicly.

I would also bet that we wouldn't see him passing out pizza to students making floats for homecoming or passing out ice cream to students during spring finals.

Student sections shouldn't bite the hand that literally feeds them.

Also I know this is in reference to the Oklahoma student section and I've seen written in several places that students on campus at OU can't stand Rattler as a person or a football player.

I think even though he isn't playing well at the moment, most students are probably at worst indifferent to DJ as a person because few probably know him.

IMO, I don't think Dabo will change his behavior - passing out Pizza and ice cream -- based on how the team is doing.

And I think that's a good thing.

Times are a little tough right now in Tigertown as the combination of erratic player performances and stale offensive play calling has us being the 8-ball right now.

I keep hearing that we lost because of a play or two ... that might be right, but if we played as we "should" be playing, we would have beaten NC State by over "10 plays".

I think we'll improve some ... not sure we'll win the rest of our games though. If the offense can play even 70% of how the defense if playing, we'll all be happy at the end of the season.
