Yep, All the Bama fans are trying to say that it's an SEC rule but the article says that if Satan signs off on it he would be able to transfer to UGA. Satan is trying to say that it's in his best interest to stay a Bama but with all of his belongings thrown in the garbage it would make it impossible to stay now. He has lost any respect from his team and coaches and he probably fears for his safety now that that has happened. It is most definitely time for him to move on but Satan is being an A**hole. Imagine that. Go Tigers

you feel if a Clemson player wanted to transfer to SCar, or really a more accurate example would be Florida St due to same conference.
Generally, after graduation, a player can go anywhere as long as he works toward a Master's Degree in a program not offered at his current school. Saban, however, is trying not to allow this.
That's how the original post relates to Clemson.

A couple of schools of thought on this...
1) If the athlete has already graduated then how is it in the athletes best interest to stay at Alabama? The athlete has already achieved the primary goal of a student athlete - earning a college degree. I think Saban's "best interest of the athlete" argument is a poorly conceived smokescreen.
2) Why should Saban care that this guy goes to UGA when Kirby Smart is the head coach of UGA and knows way more about the inner workings of the Alabama program than anything this student athlete could provide. I just can't see how allowing this guy to transfer would put Alabama at a competitive disadvantage in a game against UGA.
The only valid argument that I see for Saban is if he has an established policy (that is understood by Alabama recruits/players) of not supporting student transfers to another SEC school - no exceptions allowed. If he has never allowed this under any circumstances and does not want to set a precedent for future requests, then I might could understand his hard line on this. But at this point it looks like this issue is personal and not professional in nature and Saban is screwing with this guy because he can.
At the end of the day, Maurice Smith could tell Saban to get bent and sit out a year and play for Georgia in 2017. Of course, he could opt to go to a non-SEC school and play right away which, quite frankly, is probably just as good an option as any and would darn sure look better from an academic standpoint.

My opinion is yes. The point is, did Saban stop Kirby Smart or any of his assistants from going to another SEC school to COACH??? No he let them go with his good graces, so why should a player be treated any differently?
