There is a "generational divide" to the Lunge/PnR ecosystem.

There are what we might call the adults. Mostly Tnet vets, who spend a good amount of times on both sides of the Lounge. They can handle a good debate without going off the rails, and are the only redeeming aspects of the PnR board.
Then there are teens, who are idiots but give debate a good faith effort. They'll debate back and forth, even if what they're posting is drivel.
Then there are the kids, who are idiots and don't even try. Their post/reply ratio is way off, and just take a thread dump in PnR and don't stick around for any of the debate -- if their posts even offer something to debate rather than just a blanket statement about something or another. And, most of their threads are the same thing day in and day out. They don't offer any new content or perspective. It's basically a big circle jerk for them.
Finally, we have the disowned. These are the kids who are so morally bankrupt they can't even suspend their hit-and-run styles for even a second to read the room. We know who they are.

But there are a couple folks who don't care to make thoughtful discussion, and would rather just make some smarmy ass reply to one up you, and it generally has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Don't understand it and don't care for that at all and it only makes me want to punch them in their stupid face, so I generally avoid it.
