What percent

Oct 7, 2019, 4:34 PM

Of those who post on TigerNet and present themselves as fans have ever been to a football game in Death Valley?

50 percent or less? Hopefully not more.

Would hope it’s more like 10 percent or less

I’ve been going to Clemson games for well over...

3 years. I doubt many posters can say the same.

1972-1975 and then not until 2014. I've never been to a Clemson game where they routed the opposition, I don't think. Some fairly close wins and some blowouts on the wrong side. Probably better I don't go!

Ill bet you wouldn’t say you hope less than 50% of the posters donate to IPTAY though ??

I would never say that but I expect that is true. IPTAY is a small organization when you consider the number of members compared with the numbers who claim to be fans. Championships begin with scholarships. FACT

I didn't attend a Tiger football game until I was probably in my mid twenties. There were reasons for not going, chief among them was money. I could barely afford the price of a ticket, let along a car to drive to Clemson. I got out of service, went to work, and got established in life, and attend games whenever I can. I don't get to go very often anymore, arthritis kills me on the drive, and finding a place to stay, not too far from The Valley, is hard sometimes. But, I have been a Clemson Tiger fan ever since the day we took my oldest brother to Clemson, for the first day of his freshman year. And except for the discomfort, I'd rather watch a game in The Valley any day than on TV.

Well, it's been many years since I graduated, but can say that I've managed to attend QUITE a number of games since then (the latest was last year's Duke night game), even though I have never lived within 1,200 miles of Clemson. Of course, the two times I was stationed in Korea and once in Vietnam don't count. :)

I started going to every game, home and away in 1983. I had to drop my season tickets recently because of chronic health issues. If I was able I would still be at every one of them

I would say at least 90% have been to at least one game.***
