What kind of food are college football players

Jul 21, 2016, 8:45 PM

Allowed to eat during the week? Do they have certain foods and places that are off limits? No fried foods?

New nutritionist from Alabama guides this now...they are allowed to eat a lot...encouraged to learn good practices ....part of the maturation process ...

They eat better than most of us mangers & lungers - select beef/fish/and of course chicken.

Not to mention all the Sashimi grade Tuna that is at their beckon call - wut?

Depends on what position they play and if

Jul 21, 2016, 11:09 PM

they need to lose, gain, or stay where they are as for as what they weigh.

Assuming the young OL who need to gain weight get to eat almost anything.

They can eat where ever and whatever

Jul 21, 2016, 11:33 PM

They want, this is American and they aren't property, they're students athletes.

They have access to a nutritionist and they have access to a dinning hall that will provide what they need, but it's voluntary. The players who don't eat properly will not reach their full potential, but you can't make them do it, nor should you.

This sounds like a message you were forced to type while either being tickled to death, or at gun point.

I graduated this past year, and I ate at TDs and 356 on a regular basis with a lot of the guys that just graduated and are seniors now. Trust me, they may be encouraged to eat a certain way, but these guys do what they want to their bodies. Most of them have the attitude that they can eat whatever they want and drink as much as they want as long as they working harder on the field and in the weight room than anyone else.
