Lincoln Riley has to get in the playoffs at USC
Jan 24, 2022, 11:55 AM

Before we crown USC as an annual playoff contender. And he may very well but has to prove it first. Definitely has the market there, throw in NIL and should be easy. Yet Texas and USC hasn’t cracked their way in for quite awhile. The ACC is not acting the way they ought too? What does that even mean. If there is only one answer then I suppose they are right or wrong. But there is a lot more to it.

I think the whole thing is a forest- with people trying to get under the skin of Clemson fans. Someone here stated that is has been 20 years since USC has had any input in college football. Has you stated- He may turn that around-I am guessing we will have to wait and see.

Southern Cal hasn't been relevant in 20 years. Of course

they want as many teams in the playoffs as they can get. They're just hoping to make it in one of these years.

not sure of the details, but the ACC being against.......

a 12-team playoff is rather puzzling.
Moving forward the ACC may need a 12-team playoff to have a shot at having a representative in the playoffs.......not to mention a 2nd team.

I am thinking that no matter how many teams are in the playoffs- it will always be top heavy with SEC teams. 4-2 SEC teams 6-3 Sec teams 12- four or maybe 5 SEC teams. They come in overrated- they are the only conference that can have a loss and still move up in the polls, as long as it to another SEC school. You know a quality loss!

in the last 2-3 years.
unless something/someone changes the dynamics of NIL..........the NIL will shift power to the rich, football crazed programs.

It is just my opinion. Every year that are always pushing for two teams from the SEC. They say that it is the hardest conference- which I don't understand- it is either Alabama or Georgia- Georgia- mostly lays and egg. You had the year that LSU- was stacked with a portal team and they won it all.
The Bottom of the SEC is no better than other conferences. Again just my opinion.

Don’t think Southern Cal would’ve made a 20 team playoff at any point in the last 10 years much less 12 team. But all that talent and money should help. PAC 12 sucks.

It’s an article on a USC website. What do you expect?

The answer is simpler than you think. Did Oklahoma with more recent success than USC replace Clemson? Nothing in the PAC 12 has been relevant in more than a decade.

Lincoln Riley is overrated imo. Good QB coach but gets blown out in the playoffs. What has he done?
