because what I generally see involves cruising around and not hitting anyone except maybe a team mate

Depending on the play he's either the edge blocker, he trap blocks or is a lead blocker. You're assessment here is definitely spot-on though. Garrett Williams being out has effected our run blocking at the 3-back position something terrible

Greenlee is out too. Not utilizing/recruiting AND developing Tight ends/H-backs/fullbacks was a part of Tommy Bowden's demise.
