The thing that gets missed is that with the crown, comes the pitchforks. Dabo has the exact right demeanor to handle the day in day out grind of HC, playing the DC role for a nice check means you get to focus on what you love...recruiting/relationships and defensive strategy. The second you become HC somewhere you lose what was fun for the daily presser with the same guys asking the same questions, you lose the ability to focus on defensive strategy because now you have to be the head babysitter of 100 young men some of which are inevitably going to stray off the path and require attention, the portal management, the alumni whineybabies who are mad you didn't win 15 games each by 45 points this year.

Don't screw up happy...at 50 years old...hang around Tigertown for about 10 or 15 more years, let's win 5 or 6 more Natties with our current formula, you get as much money as you would ever require to live comfortably and Dabo deals with all the headaches.
