We've never really recruited well on the Oline, that's a given.

However from 2019-2021 classes we've landed the following OLINEMEN:
1 5star
7 4star
3 3star

probably the best recruiting talent of Oline we've had...........after that ya gotta coach em up and it doesn't appear to have happened.

that is enough for 2 decent OL's. Yet we dont have one decent OL. We need to turn them lose to hit people. This RPO bump into people but stay at the line of scrimmage gets us nothing. Fire hout some plays to knock people down and run the ball.

I actually think its more of a Tony Elliott problem and his offensive philosophy...we dont have that mentality of dominance on the Oline with our offense.

Yep, that was a cute little charade when we had 4 NFL D line on the front and Trevor and Travis with some of the best receivers in the country and a decent O line. But it's time to put some real talent in the Swinney, Herbstreit and Veneble's places.

Uh... only one of Herbie's boys is still at Clemson and he never has been on scholarship. The other isn't playing FB and transferred to Ohio.

Roster management has been a problem

We have been consistently under the 85 because the coaches don't plan for attrition and therefore don't bring in as many signees as they could have.

OL is one where numbers have been an issue although that has been trending up in recent years. Remember, high school OL are rarely ready to come in and play against elite college DL in the first 1-2 years and our OL 2 deep is incredibly young. That goes back to the numbers taken in the 17-19 classes if you're not going to address that via the portal which seems unlikely at this point.

Another major one for concern is the DT takes. Only taking one last year and potentially none this year is a major misstep. Bresee likely a 3 and done and Davis could leave after this year with a monster season could leave us very shorthanded.
