Saying..it's possible to beat those guys, but will it give Clemson a sure bet chance to be 1 of 4 in NC playoffs..since we can trip uP on a NC, or NCst or Louisville..and of course the much hated cOOTs.

funny because he suggests the possibility of our defeat of UGA, FSU and maybe even ole SC?
You see, my Friend, after 50 years of support for the Tigers at this point I won't rule out any possibility, for I have seen many self-appointed gurus proven to be wrong.
That's why I think it wise to take one-game-at-a-time, rule out nothing until the game is played...and remain optimistic beforehand. That usually works well... regardless of the team one supports.

With those wins and only 1 loss then definitely in the playoff. Two losses to inferior teams and out of the playoff.
If you're gonna go the 2 loss scenario, then probably better to lose to quality opponents on their field than lose to inferior opponents. So possibly winning all but UGA and FSU would be better than the scenario you posited.
