The play that ultimately hurt was the 3rd and 19 PI call on

Jan 14, 2020, 12:45 PM

DK...

We had momentum... we were off the field... Burrow was hurting. We get the ball back and score again and we may in a different position today.

Agree, it was such a bad throw too.

Jan 14, 2020, 12:48 PM

Would've been a punt and good field position.

DK had plenty of time to make a play on that duck, he just

panicked and tried to tackle him instead

That was a back-breaker AND then we let Burrow

Jan 14, 2020, 12:49 PM

run the QB draw on 3rd and long later in that same drive to score the TD before the half.

Boneheaded play by DK and good play call by LSU on the draw...

We were very bad last night to not be in phase and have not idea where the ball was. That was one of the biggest examples of that. We thought they would go after the safeties but it was more the corners where they attacked. We defended some plays very well and some they made nice catches. Then there were the bad ones like this.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-74tiger.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yea...looked like the receiver was wide open, DK realized it

Jan 14, 2020, 1:04 PM

and scrambled to recover. If he'd had his head up he may have had a pick. Instead bad throw caused an obvious PI. Everything kinda spiraled from there. Just not our night.

Yep, the irony is, if it hadn't been a bad throw DK

Jan 14, 2020, 1:23 PM

probably breaks the pass up on time and they punt.

Don’t blame the refs for any of it. We’re better than that

Nobody's blaming the ref; it was an obvious PI.
It's just that that play really hurt.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

There were plenty of bad calls

Jan 14, 2020, 1:43 PM

The Tee offensive PI could have easily been a no call. Doesn’t help to dissect them and recreate the game

We didn’t make the plays we needed. Congrats LSU

Actually as young as we are we may not have been better than that. This is Kendrick's first year back there. DB's not looking back for the ball is a disturbing recent trend too. Coaching could correct that. The only reason I thought we could win another Natty this year is I didn't know how good OSU and LSU were. I think we all found out. We should be considerably better next year.

After we beat OSU I thought we had it
After we were up 17-7 I thought we had it
After we cut it to 3 in the 2nd half I thought we had it

Man, that was a frustrating game to watch.

Sounds like we rode the same emotional roller-coaster. I thought the way the 2nd half started out was a sign of destiny for us. Sadly, it was not to be.

We didnt beat OSU though...we got a lot of help from the stripes. Without a few extra flags(that are questionable) we lose by 2 scores.

Is that you, Ryan Day????

What kind of an idiot are you? No one said anything about the refs. Go police your own life.

What hurt worse was our 2nd drive in Q3. We had just

Jan 14, 2020, 3:35 PM

scored in the red zone by handing the ball to ETN 3 straight times. On that second possession, he didn't get a touch. I'm from the Danny Ford era where you run the ball until they prove they can stop it. Trevor wasn't having a good night, so why not let ETN carry the load? Just don't understand.

Very bad play by DK but Nolan's dropped easy INT was just as big. Could have been a game changer.

DK's growth at CB this year was spectacular. He will be a beast in 2020.

Agree. If he would have played the ball, he would have intercepted the pass. Lots of green in front of him as well.
