SEC for the ACC after last night. Some think they would have great rivalry games again with CU, FSU and rekindling their rivalry with GT. Bring em on Jim Phillips.

Screw Notre Dame…bring on AUBURN

It is an interesting idea. With the SEC adding so many football focused schools, might there be some defections to other leagues down the road? I know the money is great, but there is also a great appeal to having a path to winning something. Starting in a couple of years, there will be about 6 teams who will have a shot at the SEC annually, and I am not sure Auburn is one of them.

Tier 1
Alabama
Georgia

Tier 2
Oklahoma
Texas A&M

Tier 3
LSU
Florida
Texas

Question marks
Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas

Not contenders
Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Missouri

If I am in that last group and have any pride, I’m listening, but likely will stick with cashing checks earned by others. If I am in the question mark group, maybe it makes sense.

Interesting to think about, but no possibility at all. Loss of prestige and around $40 million annually for at least a decade makes it a impractical on multiple levels.

Most Auburn fans I know would rather change their mascot to The Fighting Fredos and hang themselves from that dumb tree, than leave the SEC for the ACC.

There ZERO chance that would ever happen…

Auburn is a staple of the SEC. They make tons of money. Facilities are above average and are getting better. New TV money for expanded SEC will be $75-$80mil per school. The #### ACC is stuck at $40 million for next 10 years.

And Auburn has proven it can win a National Championship by bringing in transfers…

I would love to have another Southern school that has a good tradition of football history. Maybe add a Cincinnati, tell Notre Dame to hit the road and align the teams in a true North South configuration ( discussed before) and maybe keep Georgia on board say every 3 years or home and away game.
Also keep a S.C. State ,or Citadel but don't ever schedule a Woman's basketball school as a 2nd cupcake game.

Not going to happen to much money. Plus the playoffs will be expanded to 12 teams. The measure will not be who's undefeated. 2 and 3 loss teams can make it in.

What fans say is less important than score at half time.***

Not Auburn's first time at the rodeo getting screwed by the officials and Birmingham. I don't think they are just reacting to one game.

While zero chance geographically Auburn (just over the Georgia line) would be a dang good fit.
