Can't get?
They play in a dump in the Tucker Center. Don't even draw fans there as well as we do...

Hamilton also took over a program in really bad shape. Similar to what OP took over from Stuart. It's not apples and apples with Hamilton and Brownell here...

Hamilton owns Brad in his record against him, that's for sure. OP had a winning record vs Leonard.

It’s all about coaching and elite coach can win anywhere and a bad coach can lose anywhere just look at Matt Doherty at UNC. And I can give you dozens of examples in football and basketball that it’s all about coaching .

I know, that’s what I say at the end of almost every season. Please tell me when you’ve ever heard Brownell talk about the ACC championship, or the national championship, or any kind of championship? he doesn’t because he knows he’s not going to win it, he’s just gonna put coin in his bank account and let you clowns defend him

until Clemson decides it wants to start supporting basketball at a reasonable level.
Being 14th out of 15 ACC teams in basketball spending isn’t going to cut it.

Collect your $2.5 Million salary, and wait until admin will spend some money on basketball? Think about how ridiculous that is.

You realize that money wasn’t what fixed football right? It’s not like the administration said here’s a ton of money and we started winning.
Dabo was one of the lowest paid coaches in the ACC when he got the job. However, he had a vision for his program and sold it to the administration and donors. Guess what... thanks to him he got his money and now he has success. If Brad isn’t getting his money that’s on him, not Clemson. Clemson obviously is committed to winning in sports under DRad... BB just needs to sell his vision assuming he has one.

Brad is being paid well. I think Judge Keller is talking about player facilities for recruiting. That helped Dabo too with the upgrades.

in Football came before most of those upgrades. Guys like Spiller, Boyd, Watkins, Nuke, etc... Came to Clemson before all the new toys Dabo has now.

Exactly my point. Money did not bring us football success. Dabo and his vision did. It brought players, better fan support, winning, and that makes the business case to invest into the shiny toys we have today easy.
Money doesn’t fix basketball. A coach with a plan does.

A coach that knows what kind of players fit his needs and can go get them. I’m sorry but stud players do not want to play for a coach like BB.

That's what I was going to say basically. Recruiting is the key. They have players from all over (even 2 foreign) but the biggest percentage of players are from GA and FL. Tiger football gets the best from GA and FL, why can't baskeball do the same?

Got give Leonard Hamilton props. All I ever hear on wccp is him being a bad xs and os coach yet he owns our great xs and os coach. The man knocked off Va. Hamilton can recruit and therein lies your answer.Recruiting is the key and BB can't consistently recruit on this level.

FSU spends 2x what Clemson spends on basketball. They also have a better recruiting territory as 30-40% of their players are from Florida or lower Georgia

As for the superior in state talent, there are also 100x more schools (instate and out) competing for their services. Florida has 100x more football talent than SC also, yet we've always recruited pretty well there. The greater availability of in state talent is not the reason FSU consistently has superior talent nor the reason they have gone to the NCAA tournament 6 times during Brad Brownell's tenure.
