I immediately thought the same about the L'ville spread, however they do have FSU the following week so I could see Petrino playing it close the vest, not showing much, and therefore not blowing SU out...

Gotta be wary of "revenge" games though...meaning Tenn.
Last week they got exposed, but App State is pretty darn good little team. I think Tenn. comes out this weekend and flips the ###### at Rocky Top. I reckon Tenn. covers.
Not sure about Louisville v. Syracuse. I think you're prolly right. Papa Johns will most likely cover but I've seen some hijinx in my day go down at the Carrier Dome and the 'Cuse is not to be underestimated at home. That's why I'm not touching this game.

Well, wouldn't you know...I went 4 for 4 last weekend and the last game on my parlay was none other than Clemson v. Auburn with Clemson to cover 7 on an early line and bring home the bacon for daddy...we all know how that turned out.
Not many good games in week 2 but here's my picks:
Penn St. at Pitt. Take Pitt at -6
Wash. State vs. Boise State. Take Boise State at -11
N.C. State at East Carolina LEAN N.C. State at -4.5
Utah State at U.S.C. LEAN USC at -16.5
Ball State at Indiana Take Indiana to cover -16.5
BYU at Utah Take Utah to cover -3.5
Tulsa at Ohio State Take Tulsa to cover +28
UTEP at Texas LEAN UTEP to cover +28

LOL...you get nothing.
It's more of a place holder or keeping an eye on a result/team for following games. A strong hunch if you will.
Teams I like this year from a betting perspective are:
Houston Boise State Washington Huskies Indiana Pitt Utah Utes Toledo Tulsa UTEP

I like Troy +36.
I liked Louisville -12 a lot more than -14.5/15.
Army especially if you can get 9.5.
Eastern Michigan +25. Can't imagine Missouri scoring 25 points in a single game. Under 55 in this game as well.
Something is up with Penn St. +5.5. Pitt looked mediocre against Villanova.
Duke -5 seems like a stone cold lock.
Illinois getting 8.5-10 at home against wavering UNC that still can't stop the run.
Washington State/Boise OVER 74
