What are NFL Scouts seeing that makes them believe TJ Green > Jayron Kearse?

I understand Green's 40, vertical, and other measurables turned a lot of heads, but is that really enough to Project him as a higher selected Safety than Kearse? I know Kearse tailed off a bit toward the end of the season, but c'mon. Kearse was by far a much greater force on our defense, and is definitely a better overall football. Speed, height, and high verticals don't dorectly translate to on-field ability, much less on-field success. Seriously, am I missing something with Green?

NFL franchises with scouts, coaches, GM, film analysts,, statiicians and player development people?
For now that matter, what makes TigeNet think they know than the Clemson coaches?

I think the scouts see the same tape of Kearse giving half effort for the last part of the season. And as mentioned in another post, his aggressiveness causes him a lot of problems in reading the play. I think scouts want to love him but Kearse also has questions surrounding him about his effort and dedication. Whether those questions are justified or not is another conversation.

Both guys have it, but TJ probably has more because he's more physically gifted from an athletic standpoint to cover up mistakes. TJ just needs his mental to catch up to his physical.

It is my understanding some scouts see TJ as an "off" CB.

And his 40 time + fluidity in drills might back up that claim. They basically look at him as a guy who can play off the line and use his eyes to make plays, sort of like what Josh Norman does for the Panthers. Basically, Green is trending up and Kearse is trending down, don't know if thats enough to erase the deficit between them though.
