What ACC BB coaches are done this year?

Feb 18, 2019, 9:52 AM

Who among ACC programs isn’t returning? I can see Wake and Ga. Tech making changes. Does anyone retire? I think eventually the ACC will see four or five retirements which will change the landscape, not this year.

Coaches at Duke, UNC, Miami and Syracuse aren’t going to be around forever as an example. Coach Brownell could retire at Clemson if he could recruit consistently and coach with a focus.

This post is NOT about Brownell, but with in Conference changes I see opportunities. Thoughts welcomed.

Go Tigers ??!!

I get where you are coming from but let's not bank on a few "retirements" to change our fortunes. After all, when a Roy Williams or Coach K retires, UNC will still be UNC and Duke will still be Duke. They will hire great replacements and there will not much of a dropoff. K's successor is going to be very interesting though. Woj or Collins or Scheyer in my opinion.

If it's not about Brad Brownell then why is basketball abbreviated BB ?
I think this is about BB , not BB .

No, actually it is NOT about Brownell! I’m interested in input regarding other programs. Personally I think Manning is gone and perhaps Ga. Tech’s coach, but the league has quite a few who could chose to retire if they desired.

Brownell, like it or not, isn’t on the hot seat due to last year, but he cannot coast either.

Go Tigers!

Larranaga at Miami turns 70 this year , he might retire or be asked to step aside considering the type of year they've had .
I agree with you on Manning .
Not sure about the GT situation but they have certainly been awful and probably should be much better considering their geographical position . Now that UGA looks to be a program on the rise there's likely additional pressure for their AD to make that move .
