Most national championships in the last 20 years have been won by 1 loss teams....including Clemson.
Too many negative nancy's around here.

This is college football, sometimes you lose.
We have a winning team and the best coaches in the country.
Everyone is losing their minds over 1 loss. Attacking the coaches is meaningless and foolhardy.

I bet we win 2 more National Titles over the next 5 years. Maybe we have QB and kicker issues? We aren't going to win it all every year. We should be thankful for what we do have and what will have over the next 5 years.

we are now respected again as one of the top teams in college football. People expect us to win and we aren't hearing about "Clemsoning" any more. We'll win it again, heck maybe even this year. We are stacked with talent and they are lining up to get in here.
On top of that, we are doing it with class.
I don't like to lose any of them. But I'm happy. I'm proud. I think we are in a good place.

But many, incl. Clemson players, alums and fans, are trying to understand why Dabo played a running QB who was immobile and why coaches and many players took the SYR game off - were they related? Of course losing Deshaun, already on of the most talented QB's in NFL, took away a lot of juice. Will be interesting to see how coaches and players adapt for Ga Tech and NCSU games.

Dabo and coaches said he thought Bryant could go. He also said they knew that he was not going to be as mobile as he normally would be and that they planned for that. The coaches felt that a limited Bryant was better than the Cooper. The coaches felt that we could manage the game and get out with a win. I personally have no problem with that line of thinking.
Syracuse came out gang busters and punched us in the mouth. They controlled the line of scrimmage on both the OL and DL. The offense had too many three and outs and when the defense did make plays, we couldn't take advantage of it. We got down and never recovered. We can blame it on the coaches. We can blame it on the players. But it is my experience that sometimes this happens.
This is not the first time that I've seen a lesser opponent beat the better opponent and it won't be the last.
If it happens again, I think it's perfectly acceptable for everybody to start wetting the bed if they would like. At this point, I think the incontinence is a little premature.
From what I've seen the last several years, the coaches and players will fix this. I have said it many times today, if the team needed a wake up call to remind them that they were not invincible, I'd prefer to lose to Syracuse (who just experienced their Super Bowl half way through their pathetic season) than to NC State or FSU.
