I miss the old days on TNET

Nov 15, 2021, 11:04 AM

I miss the old days on TNET when posters only got emotionally unstable and ignorant after losses.

Now we have to wade through that every single week to try to find something worth reading.

But we are not losing every week!

And somehow posters still show up emotionally unstable and ignorant every week.

Unfortunately I think it might be more emotional and ignorant after the wins this season because the unstable people seem to feel that they have to try harder to point out that the sky is falling because they are afraid that somebody might have enjoyed the win over the weekend a little too much in spite of the imperfections.

Ahhh.....

Longing for the days when there were 12 consecutive posts complaining that a 7-3 team playing a top 15 ranked opponent doesn't deserve to be schedule for a nooner.

Isn't that what ACCN is for? To make me happy?

I know what you're saying. I certainly think the Tigers could play better, but I'm never going to get upset about winning. Winning is not easy... I don't understand why some people think we should not only win, but we should win convincingly and look good doing it.

Agreed!

I get that there are areas where this team has not performed like we wanted them to, but we should have had 7 happy Mondays on TNET this year.

Instead I keep walking into the bored to see the curtains on fire and people swinging sledge hammers at the walls trying to tear the place to the ground because if it's not perfect then it all has to go!

That is what Clemson FB was accustom to doing, winning convincingly, and looking good doing it for about 7-8 years before this season. This season, with all but two games, our team has played and looked like all the wheels were about to fall off at the very same time. It's no different than a husband spoiling his wife and kids bc he had a job making mega bucks, and all of a sudden that job went away, and the new job just wasn't coming close to paying what the job before paid. Now the wife and kids are pissed at dad every Friday when his now salary can't do the things for the wife and kids as it done years before!!! I think that is called normal human reactions when dealing with regressive change;):(

I would alter your comparison slightly.

I would liken this season to a husband, who after years of paying the bills without worry, is cutting it close every single week on if the bills will get paid.

TNET posters are screaming at the husband this year even when the bills get paid because they are already so emotional that the bills may not get paid in the future.

Yeah, old far*ts like TigersO miss the old days.

Us newer members feel entitled as to perfection every game and every play. We get upset if a kid messes up or falls short of "our" expectations.
We deserve to be #1 all the time.
