Covid info...spoke to a Doc at St Francis this morning

Jun 22, 2020, 10:50 AM

He says that covid has mutated, positive cases are largely asymptomatic, hospitalized patients symptoms are less severe and deaths are down-trending.
He thinks we have peaked and will start seeing a downturn....

And no, he wasn't a podiatrist...;)

the PA that sewed up my head told me that this time of year is big for gastrointestinal problems, so people are getting diarrhea and a little fever and flock to urgent care. They are running about 90% on negative tests. She said and I quote, "I personally have only seen 1 positive COVID case".

This is a suburban Urgent Care about 15 minutes from the biggest hotspot that our state had.

So weird.

rates should also go down. That’s good and expected. The more vulnerable population of elderly and with pre-existing conditions need to take precautions. The younger adults should be conscientious and take measures to avoid infection of the vulnerable population. It is kind of like slowing down in a school zone or at crosswalks. The wild card is those under the age of 65 with pre-existing who may not know or understand their significance.

No doubt the existing metrics are skewed by the impact on elderly populations and outbreaks in high density and lower economic communities. As other types of communities see outbreaks, the metrics will change _ likely in improved health outcomes.

with him, I found out that the root cause of Covid is probably misalignment of the spine and that I can cure the virus and numerous other ailments by coming in to the office and letting him crack my back.

over Covid units in Greer, the number of hospitalizations is dramatically up. Couple of months ago they'd have between 2 and 4. Now they're no less than 8 (pretty much max capacity). The worse off ones get sent to North Greenville.
