Westlake versus Mater Dei

Is there anyone who wouldn't give most anything to see Westlake play Mater Dei for the HS national Championship this year?

I think HS football is right where it should be. I don't get into the traveling circus, inter-state high school basketball games at all. It's just too much IMO.

By the way, I've lived in Houston for over 35 years and I've never heard of Katy getting the snot beat out of them like that. Katy is very famous for delivering brutal beatdowns here. It was unreal watching Klubnik's highlights.

Mater Dei program in trouble, hazing resulting in player injury. Whole program facing serious scrutiny, players recruited from all over state, there is a limit to what parents feel is acceptable for a High School. Some are calling for coach to forfeit championship game. Super programs like this probably should be forced to play similar programs nationally. High school sports not what it used to be.

If it isn't played on the field and there is no frame of reference I don't buy it. Was the Florida State champ invited? The Texas, SC or N Dakota? I would bet most years there is a program or three from a several states that would give these recruited, football factory schools da business.
