What Stutts is doing is beyond a collective.

He's using his marketing & analytics skills to cater to businesses' needs. So we were slow with the collective (High Tide Traditions is a collective on steroids) and nowhere near embracing NIL as a means of serving businesses. Reign looks like we are just now setting up social media and meeting spaces.

Insert “using data analytics to” and people think you are doing something earth shattering. Believe me every person/company trying to make money in this space is using their own data to make their process look better than everyone else.
Clemson isn’t falling behind in the process they just aren’t putting NIL above all else and advertising it as the #1 thing they have to offer because it is far from it.

This is why Neff has been so outspoken about Clemson embracing NIL.

I don’t think Radakovich, Dabo, etc. recognized how imperative it is to be a leader with NIL. Either that, or they were resistant to the idea.
Another issue was that SC laws limited NIL compared to some other states. Some of those restrictions have since been loosened, but it wasn’t ideal that SC dragged their feet.
Reform is likely coming, but we don’t know what that will look like so we must be as aggressive as we can (within the rules, of course).

Someday you may grow up and realize that Clemson football is not that important in the grand scheme of things. There are much more important things going on in the world today than where an 18 year old is going to play a sport.
All this angst over NIL and the portal is so immature and silly. Clemson sports is fun to follow. But we should be much more interested in what is happening in Europe than whether Dabo is going to get a kid out of the portal that has already quit on at least one school.
Sorry, but the immaturity and silliness on this board is embarrassing. TD button——>

You are half right but to most of us Clemson still is one of our passions so we should be invested. However count me as one who would rather us be a top 10-15 school and play in decent bowl games and recruit, develop, and churn out young men that will go on and be successful versus spending 8 million for a qb or 30 million for a recruiting class that doesn’t give a #### about your school. As far as I’m concerned I hope Dabo continues what he’s doing and winning the way he does. Give me a Cade and Vizzina over Ewers and the Nico kid all day.

There are people who will have lived and died having never seen their college football team play for a National Championship; let alone win "Three"!
I have been alive and present in heart and mind for 3 as I supported my schools football team.
To your point - I like how the program is currently being ran. I don't want to get sleazy like Ohio State, Georgia or LSU in order to win!
I still ask people How many players can go on the field at one time? How many WR's can you have w/o having a strong safety? What if some of the kids on campus don't pan out with that NIL money? What if it makes them lazy and not want to work anymore? What if there are hurt feelings and kids not blocking so they can get the TD or something like that? Lots of unknowns with it still; for everyone to get the "whoa is me syndrome"! I'll leave with this: The Atlanta Braves was outside the Top Ten(hint hint) in salary for the 2021 season - guess who won the championship though? https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/payroll/2021/?msclkid=2c707b74c1de11ec8b5943b28db40e8f

...and that's the focus of our comments on this forum. NIL and the portal are 2 huge topics right now in college sports. We're all well aware of the screwed-up world we're living in and would like to escape it occasionally. Thanks.
Oh I forgot, I'm one of the 22 you have on ignore, so you can't see this. Bless your heart.

Didn’t see him as I Ignore him as well. He’s a TD demon. My dude TD’s at like an 8-1 ratio. Hide your pulses, boys!
He loves gardening, birdwatching and trolling Clemson fans with an IQ over 8, ??

72 I hate it for those folks and it is an ugly situation, and I wish we would go in and wipe out a good portion of Russia but we never will. At the end of the day it’s prayer and worry. Nothing else we can do.
