where he has to butter his bread. So much for baseball. Got to choose one or the other, can't have both. That's really the issue. Gonna play with the big boys, got to hit the road on buses and stay in batting cages most of the year. That's what it comes down to. Choosing.

Never, I mean, never call people names on this board, or denigrate people for having a good time. It shows your true colors. Disagreeing is fine, name-calling is not.
Second, you're wrong. He's not a good guy. He's a great guy. I would want him to be the preacher, my kids' uncle, godfather, or whatever. So stop minimizing him.
Third, the season is NOT over. Major league goes on, and for others in the minors who really want to make it, the season really begins, to prepare for the next one. It's extremely competitive, and while he's in the booth and traveling, this year's players are grinding and preparing for the end of this and the start of next. I have a pretty good feel for what professional athletes need to prepare and stay at that level, just from study, listening, reading, and having been immersed a lot in sports myself.
