Well YutubeTV settled it

.. Hi Essoclub, ? We’re happy to share that we’ve reached a deal with Disney to return their content to YouTube TV while preserving a $64.99/mo. price for our members. We’ve already started to restore access to Disney networks like ESPN and FX, including their live and on?-?demand content, as well as any recordings that were previously in your Library. We will also be turning on your local ABC stations over the course of the day. Don’t worry, your personal preferences and recommendations will be just as you left them.

Yep. I've already got access to the ESPN channels. That didn't take long.

I figure someone at Google called someone at Disney and said "You know we have all your text messages and location information, ever, right?"

Great news! Just read the email I received.
I didn't think this outage would last long - Disney and YouTubeTV need each other too much. They were just waiting to see which side blinked first.

Yeah right- Sure the price will stay the same. It will go up eventually after this had been forgotten just like every other pay provider I've had.

Or for $50.00 per moth

you can get most of what you watch in YouTubeTV, which is sports and many other channels.'
Same as YTTV, there are some channels you'll never watch, but not as many. In my home. we don't habla espanol, so we don't miss the many Spanish language channels. Noe are perfect, but I absolutely cannot stand the idea of paying nearly double to YTTV as I did last year and I have already seen all the Marvel movies I want to, prefer the ones I will watch in a theater. I just hate these giant big tech companies who have far too much influence in our lives.
Anyone know of a good, viable option to paypal? It is taking 1 minute short of a week t transfer money from my bank account, into my paypal account. Nuts. They are their own clearing house,I made the request one afternoon, 15Dec21 and it will be in my paypal account 21Dec21 at 11:59pm. My bank confirmed they sent the money electronically at 9:57 n16Dec21. Meanwhile, I'm not able to use the money, even to send it to someone of a business. Damngooddeal if you are paypal. If anyone knows a=of a more reasonable service, please tmail me.
BTW, there are 347,000,000 active paypal users in 80% of online transactions. That's alot of f=use of free money.

Don’t put money in your PayPal account. Just connect PayPal to your bank and you can make payments instantly.

YouTube totally mishandled this whole issue...

They should have gotten it worked-out without inconveniencing their customers or even letting them know there was a potential problem.

By giving in to the demands of Disney? Pulling the channels was the only leverage YouTube had. They were forced to use that leverage, and it worked. I’m thankful my price stayed the same and I keep all my content.

I'm not sure that's how it played out....

When YouTube lost access to the Disney channel line-up, including ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN, U, ESPN News, the ACC Network and the SEC Network, it really pissed-off YouTube's customers and, almost immediately, a whole boatload of them jumped ship to Hulu. YouTube was hemorrhaging money and was left with little choice but to effectively pay Disney whatever they wanted or risk losing their entire customer base. YouTube threatened to pull all the channels and Disney called them on it, and it blew-up in YouTube's face.

It was actually the opposite. They settled with no increase to the consumer. ESPN plays this game a good bit and YouTube did not flinch. Hence they were removed. Sound like YouTube did well in the negotiations and most just suspended there accounts. Disney and the channels they own is what drives our prices up.

I can just about guarantee you there was an increase...

Whether YouTube chose to pass that increase along to its customers NOW is another matter entirely.
Keep in mind, Hulu is owned by Disney so Disney win regardless.

Yea the whole thing does not seem on the up and up. YouTube is owned by Google so I’m sure there would be some type of leverage they could have used as well. YouTube was going to cut the bill 15 dollars for the missing channels and still planned to honor that for the one day missed. One issue with Hulu I am having is my wife cannot get the Hallmark channel. That’s a big problem at my house. Does anyone on here tailgate while steaming using Hulu and how is that going?

Streaming services don't tend to work well at Clemson...

because of connectivity and bandwidth issues in the parking areas. Most people I know use satellite services (either Dish or Direct TV). We use Dish and it has worked great for years.

I was on satellite then we were parked right beside Jervey and could pick up nothing. Had difficulties with Hulu as far as it knowing I’m not at home so swapped over to YouTube. I run it off my Personal Hotspot and that seems to work great. Was just wondering if anyone had any luck streaming Hulu at a tailgate.
