With BV gone now, we really need Cade Klubnick to "hit"

in a big way to keep our recruiting viable in that area. The Texas Oil Money NILs won't help our cause any, either.

Not too long ago, he was a heavy Clemson lean.
Seems to be a pattern to me but I guess others will say otherwise.

USC is going to be stacked in maybe 2 to 3 years. I think they win another National Title within 4. In a way it is good for college football to get the West Coast more interested and involved.

Nothing could be worse than CFB success being directly correlated to the wealth of the alumni base.
This creates a permanent 'class' structure in which only the rich succeed.
Absolutely terrible as far a 'social message' for motivating the 'not rich' to strive for success; the 'not rich' will have no chance of attaining the pinnacle of success.

College football is reverting back to the 'Blue Bloods' and everyone else, except now playing college football isn't about anything high minded, its just about chasing the money. I don't think I will be keeping my interest in college football much longer unless things change drastically for the better.

I agree. That said, the NIL works perfectly for that program, especially with that recruiting area. Then you add Lincoln Riley and they are just destined to be a powerhouse. It definitely gives them an unfair advantage. Even places like in Miami where some billionaire alumni at the University of Miami just recently gave a basketball transfer an 800k two year NIL deal with his company with a car to choose Miami. The NIL is awful.

Guys going to Alabama we’re already getting deals like that. It’s really nothing new, it’s just out in the open now

NIL and instant transfer portal stuff first started being discussed... anybody with the IQ of a well done steak smothered in ketchup could see the "slippery slope" if it wasn't immediately addressed by the NCAA to maintain a level playing field.
The rest of you standing in line for the chocolate fountain... there's just no hope.

We won't sniff another playoff if recruiting doesn't pick back up . Early on in Dabo's tenure you could feel the momentum building. I think we reached our peak and are now on the decline. Georgia is killing us in recruiting right now. We can't sign one 5 star to their 8 and keep pace. It was awesome while it lasted but I'm afraid the best of times are now in the past.
