Well boys, you will be happy to know Ole Spud just completed

the LONGEST RECORDED DRIVE IN HISTORY from Savannah to Powdersville. I promise you, we mast have slowed to 10 miles per hour no less than FIFTY times and came to a complete stop at least TWENTY TIMES. I thought I would never get back home. ON a lighter note however, when I pulled out of the parking garage in Savannah, I took a left , went about 10 feet before noticing the ONE WAY arrow pointing in the direction from which I came, and I was staring a POLICE MAN in a POLICE CAR straight in the face. Ole Spud was moseying down a ONE WAY street in the WRONG direction. Immediately his blue lights came on. This African American Police officer, that looked like he probably played linebacker in college, looked in my window, saw my black National Championship hat and asked,"Are from Clemson?". I said,"Yessir, and we can't read worth a ####". He said,no smile as yet," At least y'all whipped Bama's ###!"....and gave me a big smile and said,"Now, git on out of here before I have to write you a ticket".........I don't know whether he was a Bulldog, Gator, or Auburn Tiger, but he sure as heck wasn't a Bama fan!

Orangeburg up through places like Saluda and good old Ware Shoals look like a better way home. BTW where do you recommend staying in Savannah and which places to take in for a couple of days - have my own anniversary coming up in a couple of weeks.

Absolutely go to the Old Pink House for dinner....and make

a reservation for the basement portion. That is the best atmosphere in the place. I was told Reba McIntyre was there last week and she took pictures with everybody. A guy said Adam Sandler was in a month or two earlier and bought everyone down in the basement a round of drinks...Ole Spud made a reservation, but the idiot made it for next weekend. I dropped Mrs. Spud off and parked the car, when I walked in the waitress told me of my mistake....( The entire place was booked all weekend) but that she one table in the basement she could seat us at near the bar....I will post a pic as soon as Mrs. Spud gets back from and errand she is running....One of my friends call me "Kramer" because of how I always luck out.....
