That's such a myopic ignorant comment.
You worry about something the echo chamber told you about, and you know nothing about it or have any way to prove or disprove it. More chit is happening today and has been than you will ever know about. Nothing changed since the original reports.
Yet you are okay with high-level FBI officials trading texts on a government phone about keeping a US president from taking office. You are okay with the Sec of State making an unauthorized DIY email server and having the Russians and Chinese see every single email she sent and received, including Comey-confirmed classified information. And her foundation receiving 10s and 100s of millions from foreigners with obvious conflicts of interest. You are okay with AG Lynch meeting with Bill Clinton on an airplane days before Comey's findings on HRC.
These are REAL issues with undisputed tangible evidence, not made up BS. But, the libbies are not concerned.

Lemme help you. I'm making fun of all the pretend conservatives on here who like to cite 1984 but clearly demonstrate they haven't read the book because the comparisons they make don't line up with anything in the novel.
And I'm willing to wager those same people favored our NSA's spy program against American citizens, which is actually more in line with 1984 than all this social media crybaby stuff.
Did you favor that program?

You really gotta hand it to Tucker Carlson.
You can tell whatever he's talking about because along come the usual derps spewing his talking points almost verbatim without any idea how he's completely inverted stuff while laughing at their credulity.
Tucker's deal is what's called "false consciousness." Basically, you're the peasant in the village. He's the guy in the castle. He excels at making you mad at all the wrong things so the peasants don't ever get mad at him and storm the castle. (His own words, he's on tape saying this. I can direct you to the recording if you wanna hear it.) He's really good at it. He's actually pretty clever at taking classic works like Orwell and twisting them so that their lessons are actually negated...this is a big part of what he does, in fact, is confuse issues and in general cloud things up for people.
This is the whole point of News Corp and what Rupert Murdoch does.
Actually, don't take my word for it. Listen to Tucker Carlson. It's a freaking game to him.

Here's someone who has actually read the books. Yep, you can draw a far closer comparison to Brave New World in our case.
What I will entertain is the distractions the government gives the proles to keep them from rising up in 1984. We could argue this happens today. Enjoy your Kardashians, plebes.
