Of course it is. For Miami and FSU. The rest of the ACC has a long drive.

are FSU and Miami. For everyone else - pain in the a$$.

Not everyone can travel so easily, between cost, jobs, and family. Charlotte is a day trip and a one-night hotel stay, at most, for most of the ACC schools, which is at least a part of why it was there in the first place.

Then figure that whoever wins has a shot of getting in to the playoffs, now the fans are looking at travel expenses etc for one or two more games. And the way the playoffs work, and even the championship game, to a degree, often these matchups and locations aren't decided with a great deal of notice, so airfare is tricky.

Quit your lousy politicking and using sports and entertainment to make political statements. Leave that up to CNN and the liberal northeast colleges. Let football be football, focused on the schools and the fans. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK????

These are the same discussions that went on in the mid and late 2000s. Can you imagine a conference championship game in Orlando, Tampa or Jacksonville with Boston College versus Virgina Tech? Well it happened twice in 2007 and 2008 with the average attendance being 53,570. These are the lowest attended championship games of the conference except 2009.

Did we not learn from this? Who's driving the bus in Greensboro?
