any saltines to eat with the chili, so I priced the Frito scoops, and fell back clutching my pearls.
Also mising at the store was any bread, and any frozen potatoes. Youngest daughter loves hash browns in the morning.

I've noticed places tend to be out of them as well. I think people are realizing that Scoops are the GOAT dipping chip in the corn chip category.

Great Value scoops are every bit as good as Frito brand, and the last bag I scored a couple of weeks ago was NINETY-EIGHT CENTS.
Those have been my GO-TO for chili ever since I discovered them.

I remember when all the mask hoopla came about and I was thinking whoever came up with the idea that we would all wear masks and stop spreading this virus has never been to a Walmart. People there can’t even figure out how to properly wear pants, a new clothing article is going to be impossible for them to conquer.

Get a call from FIL of a couple weeks back. Said he heard we had frito pies one night for supper. He lives in Ohio and said they’d been to every grocer within 20 miles and no Fritos. Asked me to ship him a bag from Florida.
He’s a buckeye so naturally not good at begging. Took a few bags to the post office to send up there marked fragile. Gal asked what was in there. Told her Fritos and she looked at me sideways. No thank you call or text for the Fritos or the effort.
You think the cost of them sunsabeaches is high… just wait til you see how much it costs to ship them.
