If you haven't gotten gas yet, you might want to

Gas station by my office is already out...Or saying they're out so they can price gouge later. I guess someone didn't want us to have a nice Memorial Day weekend. I feel most bad for the people with go fast boats, I hope they enjoyed last weekend because I fear things that get 0.3mpg are going to be sitting for a few weeks.

Stop. Just stop. Fill up as normal. Panic breeds panic and there’s no need for it.

Was like ONE other car there. Gas was cheaper there than a few weeks ago.
Also found flowers for Mother's Day.

trip on Wednesday and would like to use my boat over the next few weeks. I'm going to fill up every vehicle and gas/diesel can I own. I don't control the masses, I can only plan around them.

Call it what you want but this is real.
I'm in the industry and there are fuel companies in Charlotte, Atlanta and Augusta that are already out of fuel due to allocations being cut back to ration the fuel left in the pipeline.
Charleston, where I am, is all barge fuel from the Gulf of Mexico so we haven't been affected by the pipeline shortage yet. However, I know of several companies from those areas planning on sending trucks to Charleston to pull fuel and truck back to their customers. So once that gets going it will cause a shortage here unless/until the upstream producers decide to increase production and barge it to other terminals (hopefully here).
Also as a rule of thumb due to terminal bulk storage, taking production off/online, restarting the pipeline distribution and delivering to customers the general rule of thumb in the industry is that for every day the pipeline is down it takes two to get back up to full capacity.

I did notice a station I passed this AM was at $2.49.
At lunch I passed by and it is at $2.69, 20 cent bump in a 4 hour span.

slow the Ram down to 60 or so in school zones.....you have 12 5 gallon cans in the bed and don't need any sudden stops.
