Week 6 games that impact Clemson

Oct 4, 2018, 10:36 AM

This really isn't rocket science. We want other playoff contenders to lose and anyone that can realistically boost our schedule to win. But for anyone too lazy to look this up themselves, here's a list of potentially impactful games with times, locations, networks, and current point spreads. And I'm not bothering with games that have huge spreads. Obviously it would be nice for Ohio State and Bama to lose, but both are 4-5 TD favorites this weekend so that's not very likely.

Texas (+8) vs Oklahoma - 12:00 PM, Fox, Cotton Bowl Stadium, Dallas TX. Hook 'em Horns

LSU (-2.5) at Florida - 3:30 PM, CBS, The Swamp, Gainesville FL. I actually don't think LSU is a legit playoff contender, but ideally they lose to Florida and then beat Georgia at home next weekend. That would be spicy.

Kentucky (+5.5) at Texas A&M - 7:00 PM, ESPN, Kyle Field, College Station TX. Go Aggies.. we could use the strength of schedule boost.

Notre Dame (-6.5) at Virginia Tech - 8:00 PM, ABC, Lane Stadium, Blacksburg VA. A VT win would be doubly good for Clemson as it would deal a serious blow to a playoff contender while also boosting the ACC and a potential future Clemson opponent.
