I truly believe our tigers win out! Hoping we have chance for playoff know we need few teams to lose. Was wondering what everyone thought if we did end up 12-1 acc after champ would we make it in?

If we win out and do it convincing, we have a good chance, because conference championship will matter over a one lose non conference champion. This is because no conference is very strong after the first 2 teams. One thing for sure we need Georgia to win out. If TCU loses a game going out that would definitely leave 2 teams in the playoffs with one loss, and I believe the committee would have to take Clemson if they are conference champions over some other team that is not, this being Clemson is the only 1 loss conference champion in the mix.

Unless the following lose. No.
- Tennessee
- Michigan or OSU (before their game)
- USC
- TCU
SEC gets 2 regardless of Champ unless Tenn loses
TCU wins and in
USC 1 loss champ would be above us - would have beat ND heads up.
Mich v OSU loser if only 1 loss may be ranked higher than us - this is the only “chance” we would have.

If Michigan loses to tOSU do they have athe resume to stay in the playoffs? Only one ranked win vs Penn State. Penn State's ranking is based off of zero wins vs ranked opponents.

Winning out (With a win over UNC) will help our resume and the SEC West and Pac12 have pretty much eliminated themselves. A TCU loss would help immensely. The question is who gets the slot between a 1 loss Tennessee, 1 loss Michigan and 1 loss Clemson.
I also know this team has pretty much no chance for a playoff run. However, an ACC Championship and solid postseason performance will gives us momentum for next year and quiet some the "end of the dynasty" talk.

No—the humiliating loss at ND will keep us out. We all know we are not a playoff level team and the CFP committee watches the same team we do.

UGA wins out
OSU wins out
USC loses to either UCLA, ND or in Pac title game
——- at this point you would have UT, TCU, and Clemson fighting for 1 spot
If TCU loses either at Baylor or in Big 12 title game… we would be in for sure

Need some help but its possible.
1. We have to look good
- last night was ok, but too many turnovers
2. We need some help
- Oregon losing helps, need a few more
3. UNC cant lose before ACCCG
- We need them ranked as high as possible for that last data point
4. Hope committee puts a lot of emphasis on conference title, 12th win
- A few teams in front of us wont be playing champ game week. We have to look really good in the ACCCG and hope it is enough
We have to show the committee that the offense is something different/improved from the ND game because they are NOT sending that to the CFP. You have to give them something to say when they have to defend a Clemson getting in. Something like "We looked at Clemson and saw a real improvement over their loss to ND."
In any case... a lot of work to do before this. We have to keep the fire going these next two games and not let teams hang around. Put them away early, look good doing so.
From there, whatever happens.. happens. We can have a great season.. even if its 13-1 with a NY6 win & conference champs.. that is a great year.

Very unlikely.
Had we lost to ND by 3 or 7, perhaps we would not have dropped to 10. When they placed us below 2 loss teams, it became a death sentence for the playoffs. Too much SEC bias - where a loss is not really a loss when you lose to another SEC team.
Truthfully, do we really belong in the top 4? I hate to speak it, but, maybe we are simply a very good team - not great. Would I like the chance? Yes. But, we don’t have the dominant D I expected. The O is better than I expected, but not scaring anyone. That said, you never know. A tipped pass, a fumble, a kickoff returned for a touchdown and Clemson could shock the world.

Yes we could and if we win out it’s more than likely. If ND beats USC that just about guarantees ND a top 15 finish, usc out, and we are in.
UT offense sputtered vs UGA, nobody wants to see that again.
The difference is a conference title which we know for a fact carries major weight to the committee over the years. Especially if it’s the only conference outside the sec to have actually won it in the past decade.
I do not foresee another ND meltdown that was an anomaly, nothing against ND.
