These were the witnesses . . . Part of my Bennettsville Gang . . . We range in age from 65-74 . . . We all play the SR Tees, except for George who still plays from the tips . . .
We were playing “extra holes” after our Wednesday Round . . . It was the Par 3, 7th Hole @ Marlboro Country Club . . . Playing 134 into a gentle breeze . . . I am ashamed to say, I hit a 6 Iron . . . the pin placement was on the back of the green . . . the hole itself was masked by the hill of the front bunker . . . George told me it was long, so when I got to the green I was carrying an 8 iron to bump towards the flag and my putter . . . having issues finding the ball off the back of the green, I asked George to check the cup just for giggles . . .
The drinking part of the celebration was taken care of after our customary Sunday Round . . . A Good Time was had by All!!!
And the Scotch part of the drinking was indeed on you BbO . . . Your gift of Lagavulin was a hit!!!!!!!

Although, back in the day at the nine hole course where I was a member, we sometimes pulled it off. Each of us shot around 80 at the time, and all of us owned our own golf carts, which we kept at the course in their own designated stalls in the enclosed cart houses.
In a foursome, we would REGULARLY play 18 holes in about 2.5 hours. They nicknamed us "the rabbits".
What I wouldn't give to be able to go back to those days......

in extra holes, late in the afternoon, after the course is all but clear . . . We play scats and trash . . . and pick up when you’re no longer in the hole . . . moves along rapidly
Just a good group of guys . . . ~ 1/2 Tigers & 1/2 heathens . . . the current football streak has them muffled well . . .

greenies, AND closest to the hole on Par 3's. Sandy pars, even "Barkies" at one point. (That was a hole you made par on after having at least one of your shots ricochet off a tree.) And, yes, a double "barkie" paid double, as did a double "sandy"!
Those were some truly great times out on the course.
There was a group at my old home course we called "The Charleston Mafia." I only ever played with them once, I shot 74 that day and cleaned house. (Probably why I never got invited to play with them again!) They played what they called "Five Dollar Automatic". Meaning, five dollar bet starting out, and every time a hole was won, another five dollar bet was automatically begun from that hole going forward, while the original bets carried on. Yep, that could get expensive real quick!

I have my bride’s father’s hanging on my wall now . . . It happened years ago @ Scotch Meadows CC here in Laurinburg (Hole #2)
The oldest gentleman in the photo is Frank . . . a woodworker . . . he made the current Korn Hole Boards for The Smoking Pig in Pendleton . . . Frank is not a Tiger . . . He played baseball for NCSU (he is originally from Raleigh) when Sam Esposito was the coach . . . anyway, he said he would make me something to commemorate the occasion.
