Back in the late 80's we played many, I think all in 87, in navy. If you don't know the conspiracy theory, Clemson's secondary color used to be navy, not purple. But saying so is somehow blasphemous. Here's Elden Campbell 86-90.

They have worn this uni before. They did several games last year.

Where did the name Regalia come from though? I always remember it being called Northwest Purple at Clemson.

It was never a school color, yet we featured it on our basketball uniforms, our football uniforms, and other sports as well.

I’d like purple to be our usual away basketball jersey. I loved these:

I agree. I’m glad Hatfield, Barnes, and Bowden brought the purple back. For football the purple jerseys with orange britches is a great look.

That's my fave combo and so many people dislike it for some reason.

The official color was always purple. In the 80s there was a surreptitious movement to go with navy but it did not last .
