I don't have any problem with what Daniel said.

If you think about it he is exactly right. Waaaay too much is being read into his comments.
Folks criticize him for attracting attention to himself. I for one look at it a different way. Think about how many veterans with PTSD see what Daniel has gone through and how he has been able to work to over come his PTSD. I for one commend what he has done. What a great inspiration and example he is for those suffering with his condition !
We can criticize him all we want, but if he helps even one of our soldiers, sailors or Marines overcome their difficulties it is worth it in my book !
Leave the man alone !

I am guessing he is going to have a tough week in Orlando now
Shame, he could have boarded that plane to LA and went on with his life, returned to Clemson from time to time and all would have been good.
Not too sure many 5'5", 150 lb WR's were going to steal playing time from Nuk, Sammy, Bryant, Williams, Scott, Peake, Humphries and others

I honestly don't care what he thinks or says...I am just glad to read something different on here other than material about Chad "fwag" Kelly...
Thankful for his service as a fellow servicemember, but honestly never really cared or payed attention to what he was doing on the team or the field...Always kinda felt like he was being exploited when they would have him do certain things...Kinda felt silly for him at times...I serve with guys all the time that have made these very same promises to their brothers in arms, they just arent as publicized as this...

Daniel got more opportunities on the field than he earned

as a football player. But instead of recognizing what he DID get, he focused on what he DIDN'T.
All in all, I think it was just a clumsy quote. But he's never been clumsy before so maybe there is something behind it.

If he was actually a good football player he has a case. But he flat out sucked. Gets blown up on special teams every time

I will say, he was already extremely unpopular on campus

Fans loved him and he brought great attention to Clemson of course. Everyone respected him, but if it weren't for Chad Kelly, he would've been the most hated player on campus. And yes, I know him personally. I was his welcome leader back in 2012.
I think his comments show the fan base what students always saw: ego.

he has gotten through. A weak ego is what you people have who are so thin-skinned and reactionary to criticize him. Study the "ego", a strong one is needed for success! The stronger, the more humble one can be - look up the definition! THANK YOU DAN FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR US AND YOURSELF IN THE MEANWHILE. WE HAVE BENEFITTED AS A UNIVERSITY AND WILL CONTINUE TO BENEFIT THE MORE DAN ACCOMPLISHES!

is tempered with humility and respect for others. I think he's talking about an over-sized ego, one that is lacking in humility and respect for others; the kind that makes one an a$$. I'm pretty sure that's what he's talking about, and in no way, shape, or form does it take that to get through hard times.
I don't know DR - I'm just clarifying the point.
