Dabo doesn’t give up on Tony.

Our only hope there is for Tony to get an offer that is unlikely to come given how picky he has been over the last few years.

But I don’t think Dabo thinks we’re in the same situation as 2010. The ideal situation is to get a new OC in place that’s given the same control that CBV has on D. Someone Dabo trusts implicitly and chooses to step back. He’d need the ability to evaluate all position coaches on merit and replace if needed. I just don’t see Dabo letting anyone break those kinds of relationships with the struggling position coaches (QB, WR, OL).

I wonder about Dabo moving TE to Assistant Head Coach which would be a “promotion” it would allow them to save face and get another OC.
