We need quality pitching

It is quite obvious from watching the CWS games that what Clemson needs is quality pitching. In the CWS great pitching is controlling great hitting. We have some really good Young pictures and hopefully our coaches can develop them and bring some new kids on board to help us get back to the promised land. It is a crying shame that it has been so long since we made it to the College World Series. So far in 22 innings of baseball, the two ACC teams have scored a total of two runs. Both teams have outstanding hitters but the opponent’s pitching has been lights out!!

I wish that the solution was that simple.
What's obvious to me is the ability of teams in Omaha being able to manufacture runs,enthusiasm shown on the field, the strategic moves being made by coaching staffs and the ability to adjust to in game situations. IMO our problems are much deeper than developing pitching. We are a program heading in the wrong direction. for the record 2015 team ERA 4.04,2019 4.43, team Batting Avg .288 in 2015, .267 in 2019.

hence the reason they are in omaha. the acc pitchers gave up 3,zero and 2 runs. certainly nothing to sneeze at. our pitching next year will be greatly improved with strider and rayfield back and the incoming guys are also highly rated.
