Imagine this:
- A flag is considered offensive and hurtful to people. Removing said flag will do nothing to resolve the slavery issue. It is time that the black community get over it. 150 years is plenty of time to heal.
- Somebody who "identifies" themselves as a different gender wants to use a different bathroom. I would have been happy to shower with girls in gym class in high school. But it wasn't right then and it isn't right now.
- A person wants to be "identified" as a different race for no apparent reason. Perhaps I should "identify" as a different race to be able to get minority small business benefits.
- A Liberal, Democratic POTUS candidate, rich beyond her means wants, to be "identified" as a poor progressive. This country needs to defeat her sooner rather than later.
- A few individuals have determined "Redskins" is offensive. The Indians, Chiefs and the Seminoles are sure to follow. Can't be long before PETA demands that Tigers, Wildcats, Bears, Longhorns, Terrapins, Cougars, Bruins, Ducks, etc stop being used as a mascot. And when does the Fightin' Irish become offensive. I'm of Irish descent ant dislike the fact that we are portrayed as someone who wants to fight.
Political correctness has gone too far. Some of you people just need to take a chill pill and quit re-writing history.

And that's the irony that gets lost too often.
I'm starting to get the feeling that "being offended" isn't the only justification for the changes we've seen. But then again, that seems like crazy talk.

I can't think for you. A person who wants extreme and rapid changes in established government policy is good with me. Good examples are Cruz, Huckabee, Trump and others on the Rep. list of presidential candidates. You going to tell me your definition of a non-radical and or radical?

New slogan replaces Land of the free, home of the brave.
We are the politically correct states of America.
No longer are citizens free to express there opinions , unless it sides with popular ideology.
Once the land of the free and home of the brave. We will no longer tolerant long held beliefs or the constitution because we fear it might be offensive to those that do not identify with our forefathers. Folks that do will of course pay the price. This is the hope and change of PC America .

father and mother lived in an era where they allowed to do certain things because of the color of their skin you would probably view a symbol proudly displayed on government property as being offensive. And if 1% of your America thought that symbol being displayed was a good thing, and 99% of your America agreed that it was offensive...you too would want it removed.
Or perhaps your Grandfather told you stories about his Grandmother being raped by her master. Or maybe your Grandfather was born to a white wealthy christian father that raped a black female prisoner.
Imagine that?

I've always known that Northern Virginia was part of the Confederacy. Like "Dixie" any flag flown in any other part of South was a battle flag too. What major variations do other state have? It's always a stars and bars, even my native in South Carolina used it. Pretty lame justification, I'd say.

while they didn't found the school together, if Washington is identified with Lee, does that therefore make Washington guilty (racist/traitor/etc) by association?
And thus in the erasing of said confederate and racist history, all references to Washington would need to be gone as well right?
