So now I'm going to make what I consider a solid prediction...

CLEMSON will win the CFB National Championship this year. Easy to say, I know, but this is about old football adages.

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS !!! Clemson will have the best defense in the country, deepest D in the country without question.

I know there are question marks about the QB situation and OLs. I think the OLs will be dramatically more experienced and considerably
healthier and deeper. The QB situation will be settled by the third or fourth game of the season.

The kicking game is sound.

If Wes allows these beastly LBs to play zone 'cross current' and 'greet' some of those late drag routes across the middle... Well... Purge.

I'm in for a $K... 14-1 was just too sweet to pass.

If I read it correctly Clemson finished last season with 50 scholarship players.

*Ye ole eventual National Champions on a neutral field with our offensive woes we demonstrated against not just them; "could only manage 3 points"! And, they pretty much ran through the SEC; besides the Bama hiccup.

*Nancy State and Pitt - do not beat us with a healthy roster, period!

In short SOLOS - I agree with you 100%!

This team because of some of the experience coming back this season is primed for a huge year; if the offense can be "dangerous"! They do not even have to be 2019 LSU good. Just go back to being a top 15 offense. 2020 Clemson finished the season ranked 10th in total offense. I believe 6th the year before.

If we can threaten teams and get 1st downs enough to provide the defense time to rest and not have to "win every game" I see no reason we can't!

Improved OL play + improved QB decision making and accuracy + improved team availability(health) and there is a STRONG possibility we hoist the CFB NC trophy!
