Ole Finebaum must a) smoke a lot of weed, and b) stay awake at night wondering how the mighty Nick Saban was so throughly beaten in Santa Clara.
His newest deluded theory is...wait for it...because Kirby Smart “beat” Saban in recruiting, he got inside Nick’s head which ultimate lead to fired coaches and a 28 point blowout in the Natty.
Why can’t thst dude just say “Clemson beat that ###” and be done with it?

You must remember bama has 5 star backups sitting on the bench waiting their turn and could be playing on any other team.Thats hog wash. Those sitting on the bench get very few reps.There is a reason they are on the bench they is a big drop in talent in bama.Bama would have gotten beat by Clemson regardless where Kirby smart hung his hat

I disagree with the big drop off in talent. They have great players on the bench, that is why year over year they are great when mass exodus occurs.
Difference at Clemson is Dabo believes everyone that does it the right way deserves to play. Why we consistently play more players than all other top teams and why I honestly believe we are the best program in the country. We build depth in key spots all year and it keeps this machine rolling.

Finebaum was wrong about the game BEFORE it was played and doubled down with more wrong AFTER it was played. He should just say, “I was completely wrong about which team was better, the better team won”. Finebaum is nothing more than a sports fan that happens to be on TV. He’s the sore loser type of sports fan, which tells me, A) he never played sports, or B) if he did play sports he failed to learn how to win or lose with good sportsmanship. He gloats when his team wins and he whines like a crybaby when his team loses. That makes Finebaum a punk in my book.

As a diehard UGA fan I can say Kirby had nothing to do with Clemson trucking Bama. Finebaum must be forgetting that for most of the season people were calling Bama one of the best college teams of all time. No one went into that game assuming Bama was void of talent because of Kirby Smart or anyone else.

...that's who Finebaum reminds me of.
In the 90's Beano was all over ESPN college football coverage constantly putting his BIG 10 spin on all things football. Back then it was Michigan and Ohio State....they were better than EVERYBODY, and nobody outside of the BIG 10 actually played real football. He revered the BIG 10. The SEC was garbage. So was the BIG XII, PAC-10, and ACC.
Fast forward to 2018 and it's Finebaum. SEC, Alabama, nobody else. Finebaum is a Tenn. grad, hosts an Alabama talk show, and reveres all things Alabama/SEC the same way Beano Cook revered the BIG 10. Lame excuses and wacky-theories are all he's got.
