We are on a slippery slope..

It seems like kids are gonna hold universities and football programs hostage now until their demands are met.. That sets a really dangerous precedent for the future..

Would not shock me at all if majority of the fans get feed up and just give up supporting football all together.

Were to boycott over shirtgate, I could definitely see fans spending their money and time elsewhere

I am sure it’s rough when you feel more connected to Calhoun and Tillman than our players...

This worked great for the U. Of Missouri a couple years ago. All responsible instate parents got tired of the wokeness and started sending their kids to other in state schools.

Great retort....

I used to love the NBA. One year they went on strike, I remember during the strike, a player from Detroit, I believe it was, was being interviewed and he was adamant that they had to have the new contract because, the players couldn't survive without it. I thought, hmmm, this guy makes seventeen million dollars a year, while ordinary working people are struggling to make car payments, keep the roof over their heads, and buy groceries, and this guy says he can't survive on a gazillion dollars without more. I haven't watched an NBA game since. Same with the NFL, and I would say the same about MLB, but my grandson loves the Braves and he comes to the house to watch games occasionally, but that is all.

When all the pay the college player stuff came up, I wondered how long it would be before I stopped watching college football. That would be a shame, because I do love The Tigers. I remember when players played for the love of the game. Chuck Bednarik,(the last true iron man football player), said that when he played, they were payed so little that, players had to get jobs in the off season to get by. He said, he worked construction in the off season and made more money pouring concrete than he ever did playing pro ball.

Maybe i shouldn't gripe, if it were me, I'd probably want as much as I could get too. It's just a pity that, a game so many of us played for love, has become a business, and everything is driven by greed.

I guess you'll be on team Sanders now?

Except that he has a lot more money than me, he seems to have a lot of socialist ideas, and never lets a comb touch his head. Also surprisingly enough, according to his track record, he’s pro second amendment. Who’d a thunk it?

Not to mention the sense of entitlement so many have.

It could be fixed overnight

by not attending or watching another game.

But, of course, that will never happen.

And the demands are ever evolving...

for balance at least.

Problem (at least for me anyway) is that must of them jumped on the Trump train, and lost all respect in my eyes.

The leftists know where they are going with this....we've done nothing...Hopkins & Watson...are they your heroes now...they have no respect for anything except their own indulgences...Few in the black community say anything because that's their folks...burning, looting, lawlesness & tearing down are the legacy here! Close down football and don't pay them a penny! Ain't it a shame..."that the Tigers roar may echo"....John C. Calhoun deserves more!
