Hate to dissapoint but Fla ain't going bowling. If Fla was good, I'd say yes. Arky is my pick this year. With name recognition and media respect this year... Especially with the narrow loss to bamy. And would help Midwest and Texas exposure more so than k state or Iowa st.

No San Diego. Miss st, meh.

Yep. We owe Leach one from 2002. His Texas Tech team destroyed us.

sacked so much in that game. To me, that was a worse beatdown than the infamous WVA Orange Bowl.

Yep. At least in the WVU game, Clemson led a couple times early on and the game was competitive for a quarter or so. The Texas Tech game as just a complete and total beatdown.

Wouldn't be a bad way to start the next streak of championship seasons.... Back to where the previous one started at the end of the 2014 season....

Any of the matchups in the bowls mentioned would be great and a good reward after a tough year, but I would guess the team would rather be in Florida than Charolotte.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

A matchup in Charlotte with Penn St would be amazing!

Nov 23, 2021, 1:56 PM

We’ll probably have a lot more clarification Saturday night going into Sunday where we’re headed.

The first order of business is to get to a bowl game. We can be as disappointed as we want, but winning 6 games this year was not assured. The Tigers need a quality win over South Carolina and the chips may still fall in our favor. Clemson travels well but the Holiday Bowl seems a bit of a stretch. Also an SEC matchup holds some promise, so Penn State who is faltering may be out of the question for a 9-3 team. GO TIGERS !!

How are we not assured 6 wins when we’ve already won 8 games? Asking for a friend

We are bowl eligible. Not to rehash your thread.

Getting a quality win over the coots is not possible.

Not to be too hard on the rookie, but those were my thoughts exactly.

The opportunity for quality wins is over. Saturday will be our day of self-expression, and the bowl game will be our day of reaping what we've sowed all season.

IMO, it's ridiculous that the best matchup we'll get is with a 4-loss team. Iowa St has 5 losses, K-State has 4 and playing a backup QB, Penn St has 4, Ark and Miss St both have 4 and a tough get this weekend.

Meanwhile Clemson has 3 losses--a close loss to #1, an OT loss to a ranked team and a 10-point loss to the cross division champ--that's 0 bad losses in a down year. If we come to play we could put another 40-6 pasting on somebody going through the motions and enjoying FL.

Clemson vs Penn State in Charlotte.

IPTAY bowl application only lists 4 bowls as possibilities - Peach (NY6), CheezIt, Gator, and the San Diego bowl. Is Charlotte even a possibility?

Yep. We don't get the chance to play Penn State very often. That would be my preference as well.
