We all think entering the draft may have been a mistake for Ross.

Think about this, he could have instead entered the portal after seeing DJ and our offense as a whole last year. He could have and he didn't. Honestly, a high flying offense would have gobbled him up this year with the NIL to go with it, but he stayed a Tiger. I hope whatever happens he benefits and is rewarded. I admit I thought the draft was a big mistake and said so long ago, but most of us are not privy to what we have seen. Go Tigers.

Nah ... the post should have been titled "Me all think entering ... Ross."

Going NIL, and then getting hurt again in a small time program, would have been far worse then him going for the NFL draft.

Dabo wasn't 'pandering' to J.Ross when he expressed his full support for Ross going to the NFL. Ross had shown what he could do ... when healthy. Ross had nothing else to show by hanging around in college. Would Clemson love to have Ross for the 2022 season? Of course!

But entering the draft ... even not getting picked ... and then hopefully (at least) making a practice squad so that he can keep his FB skills sharp while (hopefully) fully recovering from his various injuries would be the best path for J.Ross.

I don't think that at all. Unless his measurables were going

to somehow get MUCH better, it is what it is for him at this point. Hope he catches on with a good team, and proves all the naysayers wrong.

I believe Ross made the right decision

1) He did not want to take a chance on status quo at QB
2) He could get hurt at Clemson as easily as NFL
3) He is ready to move on with his life - hopefully with degree?
4) NFL teams need more time with Ross to determine: is he 100% healed? can he return to 2018-19 level of play with full motion/speed/body control? will he sign a waiver clearing NFL/team from liability?

Pulling for him to get his shot and stay healthy - and hope it works out. If not, he will have to rely on his degree like 99.9% of Clemson grads.
