Way Too Early NFL Prediction

Oct 20, 2016, 4:43 PM

You heard it here first. I believe Wayne Gallman will get drafted by the Packers. Eddie Lacy looks to be out for the year. They are hurting for a RB and Gallman is tough and great in pass protection. Seems like a perfect fit to me.

Lacy had a subpar year last year. He was called out as being out of shape before this year began. He just got hurt and is out for the year. Plus the RBs in the NFL are more of a commodity except for a handful. I believe Gallman can provide depth for them and could fit in their scheme. I don't see Gallman being a workhorse in the NFL but I could be wrong. He is a smart tough player that's going to make some team in NFL very happy.

Packers have lost patience with Lacy always being overweight.

Ummm...that's why I said he will get DRAFTED by the Green Bay. Lol. I'm looking way, way ahead. I know he can't help them now.

If GB needs a RB that bad they won't wait for Gallman

Oct 20, 2016, 5:00 PM

Gallman is a very good running back but he'll probably be somewhere between the 4th and 8th RB off the board in the draft.

I haven't seen where he is projected to go but that seems awfully low for a person of his production. Although it's rare nowadays that even a very good RB be taken in the 1st round. I believe he will get drafted though and not go that late.

RB is really deep in the draft this year. Fournette, Chubb, McCaffrey, Cook, Perine, and a bunch of other good backs are draft eligible.

He has a bad ankle, I don't think they are going to whip

Well, Lacy is out for the year. They just traded for Knile Davis b/c they are thin at RB. Gallman would be a perfect fit for them to add some much needed depth.

If you are looking for a RB in pass pro I do not see a better option than the Wayne Train. Plus he is a heck of a runner. Seems legit to me. They are a passing team. I would like to see him at San Diego but we already have Melvin Gordon but he would be a valuable back up. A great 3rd down back.
