Way to show up today, students.

Not. I don't give a #### if it's fall break or not. I know one thing for sure, the block seating in the lower deck has got to go.

AGREED. I watch the games on tv from out of state. Our student section often looks pathetic. It is often frequently with holes, early and late in the game, especially where the frats sit with their fancy white shirts and orange bowties.
Should be first come, first served. Tell the drunk frats to sit in the nosebleeds if they want to come in late.

I think they normally do. I don't remember there being a home game when I was on fall break. I graduated last May.

You really think the students who didn't stay for the game actually get on TNet?
Haha....yeah. Sweet post. Lets ridicule the loudest and most exciting part of our fanbase.

he is actually talking TO the students in this post?? I'd say just venting a bit, and deservedly so. I'm tired of watching games on tv and seeing empty seats in the student section. If the students can't show up and be there on time, then the ticket office should sell their tickets to people who DO want to be there. If the rest of 80,000 fans (some who drive from hours away) can get to a game on time, then a group of students who live within walking distance of the stadium have no excuse.

they are too busy texting and not showing back up at halftime to be loud. There could be a block of Sr citizens that could be as loud as them

Deck, and the student section, and I can assure you the student sections volume is not the problem. It is much louder than any other section I have been a part of this season.

Ha! We're much louder than any other section in the stadium. That's incredible that anyone would even attempt to debate that.

And you mean sell the tickets to the fans who can't get back into their seats until midway through the third quarter after halftime? Good idea.

Clemson football comes first. Plus, God forbid, they could have left after the game or this morning and still had 3 days to "see their family or go on a mini vacation." Being a student must be so tough
Their ##### better show up for FSU and be loud as ####.

Granted, I have missed only 3 home games in my life, but you really have your priorities twisted if you think clemson football should be the number 1 priority on anybody's list. 1. God 2. Family 3. School 4. Football
Don't get me wrong, I put #4 before #3 plenty of times, but that doesn't mean I SHOULD. Give them a break, many of them love very far out of state and can only go home to visit their families (who are paying $28,000 out of state tuition) 3 to 4 times a year. Clemson isn't just kids who grew up an hour and 15 min down I-85. In fact, most of my friends at Clemson ARE from out of state, some even being from Maryland or New Jersey.
Now if things are like this next week, I will be right here criticizing. But you bet your ### I'll be a loud obnoxious drunk on the hill cheering on my tigers with 4,000 of my fellow students.
And for the record, I showed up 30 min early for BC and left at 0:00 in the 4th.

I hear what you're saying but it only applies for some students. I was an out-of-stater, so if I waited until today to go home, I didn't have time (unless I wanted 2 days of 12 hour driving and 1 day at home...) The only time I even considered going home was for breaks about a week... you don't get many of those.
That said, I stayed for the games, I loved being on campus during break and loved supporting my Tigers. I even came to the NCSU game during the 1-hour lunch break during the FE (2004 I think that was).
My point is a lot of people CAN'T stay, it's not just a case of WON'T.

This was the first time in about 5 months that I could go back and see my family (I took summer classes while working about 30 hours a week, and every weekend). You really have some ###### up priorities if you put football over family. Oh and by the way I did go to the game, but then again my family only lives 45 minutes away. I'm just sticking up for the ones that don't that the luxury.

#### guys, I guarantee the people that are complaining about the student section did not go to Clemson. They don't understand that a lot of the student body is not form the upstate, and this is the only time in the semester that they can see their families. Those of you who say the student section has been disappointing this year...what are you watching? Quit bitching about the student section, we rile everyone up, and get your old ##### up, which is (hangs head) only on 3rd down.

If you didn't go to Clemson, you have no room to criticize anyone. Most of us just got done camping for two weeks through mid-terms for tickets for next weeks' game. I was at the game but I don't blame anybody who didn't show up at all, we only have so many chances to go see our families throughout the year and I'm not going to criticize anyone who does so.

You blast students but I bet you are the same fan who leaves when there is still 2 minutes left on the clock. You probably didn't even attend CU. Students have the right to do what they want ...they pay tuition and pay for tickets. If you don't like what they do with their block seating stay at home and watch it on tv. I can tell you when I was at CU we had block seating ..we went to games or we didn't but it was our right....they were our seats so suck it....tired of student bashing...let them do their thing. There were plenty more there yesterday than most expected due to fall break.

Fall Break. We came a few thousand short of filling the Valley and it's usually a ghost town when we have to play a home game for Fall Break.
And get real. The students are why Death Valley is so dangerous. They are the catalyst that gets everyone else loud. They stand up and make noise more than any other section.
Except for the upper deck. Though, there are plenty of non-students up there as well.
